You, Lord, are the God who hears and helps. I regret that sometimes -- too many times -- I try to fix things without asking for your help. It makes me feel like I am important. But maybe that is a part of my problem. I am trying too hard. I pray that you would speak to me today -- that you would reassure me of my significance in your family. I pray, too, that you would help me with the hard problem that has been troubling me. Today I am going to trust you -- and only you -- for the solution. I know that you are the God who hears and helps. Amen.
