God provides

God, I know that you care about me. You have proven that over and over again. Thank you. Frankly, though, the reason I keep worrying about things is because I kind of enjoy it. I know that there is little I can do to change the direction of history -- but I still like to think that I'm the kind of person who can make it happen -- and that it all rests on my shoulders. I feel important when I worry. Help me to see my own role in the world more clearly. Help me, please, to relax and to not take myself so seriously. I'm going to go about my tasks this day trusting in your care. I pray this in the name of Jesus, the great shepherd, who leads and cares for his flock. Amen.
