Salvation

This message is from the Lord. “I will forgive them for the evil things they did. I will not remember their sins.” ~ Jeremiah 31:34b (ERV)

(The angel said to Joseph,) "Mary will give birth to a son. You will name him Jesus. Give him that name because he will save his people from their sins.” ~ Matthew 1:21

Lord, I am grateful today for the forgiveness and salvation that comes to us through Jesus. Sometimes, because I am too busy for my own good, I forget about this important gift. I need to be reminded so that my faith is renewed every day. And as my faith is renewed I am transformed. I want to help other people experience this, too. I pray that as we prepare to celebrate Christmas again, I might have an opportunity to share with at least one person the meaning behind the name Jesus. Amen.
