Healing

I said, “Lord, have mercy on me. Heal me, because I have sinned against you.” ~ Psalm 41:1 (NIRV)

Prayer that comes from faith will heal the sick, for the Lord will restore them to health. And if they have sinned, they will be forgiven. ~ James 5:15 (CEB)

Lord, we're sick in many ways. Our bodies don't always work right. Sometimes our minds get sick. Even our emotions can get messed up. And spiritually -- we're dying. In short, we are sick souls in need of healing. I'm thankful today for the comprehensive healing that is ours through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus. In faith we ask, and at least eventually, in the time that works best for you, healing becomes reality. In Christ there is an end to the pain and the weakness. There is restoration. So, I'm going to push through the pain of this day, confidently asking for and trusting in your healing. Amen.

Challenging Words
  • comprehensive --complete, nothing is left out
  • restoration -- when something that is broken is repaired, made whole, made healthy
