My help and rescuer

My God, I confess that at times I put my hope in things which disappoint. That's shameful. But I am not really intending to direct my hope toward the wrong things. The problem is that I don't really think about what I'm doing. Because of that, my life gets more difficult than it was before. This needs to change. You alone are my help. You are the one who rescues people like me. You are the one who removes all shame. I am trusting in you. You know best, but I don't think that I can wait too much longer. Please send your help quickly. Amen.
