Savior

Death’s ropes were around me. The grave was closing in on me. I was worried and afraid. Then I called on the Lord’s name. I said, “Lord, save me!” ~ Psalm 116:3-4 (ERV)

But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NLT)

God -- you are my go to... You've already rescued countless people and conquered both sin and death. Why would I waste my time and energy looking in other directions for aid? It doesn't make any sense, but I do just that. I definitely need a little extra help keeping things straight. I need you to save me from me. That, of course, is exactly what you did at the cross. You saved me when you save us. I'm so grateful that I can have a share in your victory. You are my go to savior. Amen.
