Go and proclaim
Proclaim God’s deeds among the peoples;
declare that God’s name is exalted. ~ Isaiah 12:4 (CEB)
Go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to every creature. ~ Mark 16:15 (CEB)
Lord, thank you for the good news which is worth proclaiming. It is changing my life. And thank you for trusting me to share it with the whole world. I confess that I'm a bit overwhelmed by the magnitude of that task. There are so many people out there and instead of doing what I can do, I usually crawl into my shell like a turtle and do nothing. Please help me to see the big picture and how to act on it in my own place. Through the Holy Spirit prompt me to go into the whole world -- to join your mission in anyway that you want me to go. I'm on your team and will go anywhere, or nowhere, if that's what you want. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
