Kind to the world

When that happens, all nations on earth will see the good things I have done for Jerusalem, and how I have given it complete peace. The nations will celebrate and praise and honor me... ~ Jeremiah 33:9a (CEV)

I tell you that Christ came as a servant of the Jews to show that God has kept the promises he made to their famous ancestors. Christ also came, so that the Gentiles would praise God for being kind to them... ~ Romans 15:8-9a (CEV)
God, I am one of those people who has experienced your kindness. Even though I am terribly inconsistent in my praise and honor, I thank you for all that you have done for me. You are so faithful. I want to become faithful, too, so that people from everywhere in the world will notice your kindness. Then they will celebrate and honor you with great praise. That's what I'm looking forward to. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
