God heals

The 9th Sunday after Pentecost

He set his people free. He made a covenant with them that will last forever. ~ Psalm 111:9a (NIRV)

The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! And they praised the God of Israel. ~ Matthew 15:31 (NLT)
Healing Savior,

THANKS: Thank you for saving us from our sin and all that is unhealthy. Thank you for being a promise keeper. Thank you for healing broken people like me.

REGRETS: The crowd was amazed but I have allowed some of the amazement to slip away. I take your faithfulness and gifts for granted. I know that in a sense you want your salvation to become so normal and natural that we operate in it without giving it a second thought.

INTERCESSION: But help me to never forget or to become complacent about what you are doing for us -- for me.

PURPOSE: I want to glow in amazement over your kindness.

Amen.
