Faithful
The Lord your God turned that curse into a blessing because the Lord your God loves you. ~ Deuteronomy 23:5 (CEB)
If we are not faithful,
he will still be faithful.
Christ cannot deny
who he is. ~ 2 Timothy 2:13 (CEB)
KEY IDEA:
Trust Christ because he is faithful and his love for you can't be derailed.
PRAYER:
Lord God, you are totally faithful. Christ Jesus proves it! Thank you for loving me so much that you include me in the salvation that he secured through the cross and the resurrection. You didn't let the opposition you experienced turn you off to people. I need to be more faithful to you. But I am confident that because I am plugged in to you and your faithfulness I will be changed into a totally faithful person. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
