NOURISHMENT

Thinking about your commands
     will keep me from doing
     some foolish thing.

Then Jesus explained: "My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work."

Pondering and acting on God's instructions is what makes us strong.

PRAYER
Thank you God for nourishing our faith through your words to us. I confess that I don't eat everything you've placed on my plate. I'm inclined to favor those things which are sweet and fattening. I need your help in maintaining a healthy diet centered on your word. I'm going to work out so that the nourishment you provide through your word has the most impact. Amen.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
