The reason that God created us through Christ Jesus in the way that he did, was so that we could spend our lives doing the good that he so long ago planned for us.

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Living the Christ-life means living out his goodness.

PRAYER
Good God, you created us in Christ to do good, too. Yet I still take my cues about how to live from the world out there. I want to fit in -- even if it means turning a blind eye to things that are wrong and avoiding actively pursuing good. I repent and ask that you would strengthen me to do good while loathing evil. I'm going to take my cues from Jesus my good Savior. Amen.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
