PRAYER
Powerful and loving God, we're grateful that you don't turn your back and ignore us. You've given us prophets, written scripture, and Jesus -- your living Word. At times you press your message onto the hearts and into the minds of us ordinary people, too. Yet I confess that I'm reluctant to speak up. People don't enjoy "God talk" and I pull back a little -- or even a lot. Grant me the courage to speak and the wisdom to discern the right moment. Whatever you want said, I know that I need to say it. Amen.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name. Your kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
