Resurrection Sunday

1 KINGS 2:1-3 (ABP)
Shortly before David died he charged his son Solomon saying, "I'm not long for this world. Like everyone else, I'm going to die. So I want you to be a man of courage and fortitude. Follow GOD's instructions."

JOHN 20:21 (ABP)
Once again Jesus said to his followers, "Peace be with you." Then he added, "In the same way that the Father sent me, I am sending you.”

SUMMARY SENTENCE
The lives of Jesus' followers are defined by the new life mission on which he sends them.

PRAYER
You've risen! I'm elated at this good news. It changes everything -- including my priorities. I recognize that I don't always live by my priorities but I'm confident that as you continue to transform my life I'll figure out what it means for me to be sent. I'm on my way carrying the best news ever. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name; your Kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
